To provide training to young scientists in your institute, to teach methods specific to your field, to get everyone on the same page regarding the methods needed in your group, and maybe just to have a fun experience together, workshops can be ideal! The Thomas Bayes Institute offers a number of options, give us a call and let's discuss workshop options!
Many research labs have a high throughput of team members, with a constant influx of young and curious researchers with new ideas. Regular method workshops help to unleash synergies between group members and avoid long periods of reduced productivity during which new members have to learn the methods used in the group by osmosis. Workshops help train young team members as well as provide lifelong learning for experienced team members, while strengthening team spirit. Workshops with external consultants can help to bring everyone up to the same level, no matter how different their initial skills may be.
The Thomas Bayes Institute offers workshops on a wide range of models and methods, including longitudinal modeling, causal modeling, multilevel modeling, big data methods, AI-based inference, time prediction models, and the use of statistical software, such as the graphical modeling tool Ωnyx, which was developed in collaboration with researchers at the Thomas Bayes Institute. We offer workshops both as in-person team events and as low-barrier online workshops. We believe that workshops should not only transfer knowledge, but also create a space to have fun with methods. Give us a call to discuss what kind of workshop would be best for your group!
